Recording Security Camera Footage

I have two wireless security cameras that use an RCA output which I can plug into my DVX and use to look through either camera while it's in VCR mode. If I press the record button (front, top or side) nothing happens though.

Any suggestions?

I believe there are two buttons on the LCD side you need to press at the same time.
