Recording Question

Using a DVX100b, will it be possible to record at 24p in LETTERBOX mode (4:3 with bars) SP mode, in 1080i? If so would the 1080i reduce the recording tape from an hour to less or no?

The DVX is an SD camera... shoots 480i or 480p only.

Correct.... the HD version of DVX, would be the HVX200..... but it doesn't shoot HD to Tape... only to solid state storage cards. You could shoot with the DVX100B in SD 480p and then use Instant HD and uprez to 1080.
