Recording Modes, Frame Rates & Scene Files

I can't get the various recording modes and frame rates - 1080 60p, 720 24pn, 720p 60 (overcranking) for example, to be saved to the scene files for quick access using the scene file dial. All of my other settings are saved but the Recording Setup menu information has to be changed manually each time.

Is saving the recording settings for quick access even possible or am i missing something?

I would be thankful for any help.

Only the stuff in the SCENE FILE menu gets saved to the scene files, and only those items get changed when changing the scene file dial. No other menu items are affected by changing the scene file dial.

So, in short, no, you can't do what you're asking. You have to assign the recording setup manually, it doesn't get changed with the scene file. This is a little different from the DVX, where the shooting frame rate was stored in the scene file.

Now, if you want to set up two scene files that are identical, and one of them be 24p and the other one 60p, that you can do. But those settings will only make sense if your recording setup is set to 720/24pN, for example. And, you can't change frame rate on the fly -- you have to pause recording for a frame rate change to take effect.

I believe you can save these under the user settings on the SD card in one of four slots.
But honestly, it's easier to just change it on the fly.
