Hi -
I feel dumb asking this, but I never needed to know, so I never bothered to find out. But I'm wondering how I might record from the RCA jacks in my DVX.
I plugged in the VCR (from which I need to convert some tapes to digital) into the RCA ports, and then when I put the DVX into playback mode, it appears on the screen. So I assumed there was a pause-record mode, like most DV cameras seem to have, but could not figure it out.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Also, as a bonus, if anyone knows this, I was wondering if there is a way to capture this analog footage WITHOUT the use of a MiniDV tape. I figured I could just plug in a firewire cable and use iMovie instead of Final Cut Pro, since iMovie can capture footage without needing a timecode. But the footage never appeared at all in the screen of iMovie. So if anyone can help me out with that, that would be awesome, but mostly I just need an answer to the first question.
