Except 7q does not do hdcp. Nor does the hdmi do 50/60p
if your console is a ps4, you can turn off hdcp for games (not movies). If you set frame rate output to 30p or lower, should be fine.
if you want to or are forced to record 50/60p only, you can try a hdmi to Sdi converter. One person on this forum got it to work intermittently with the converter they had. I tried 4 expensive converters (not for games for a7s) and only one cheap convertrr worked so far that Mitch recommended. I don't think the person who was trying it for games ever tried that converter, so his issues was that or something else and he never got it to work at those frame rates as far as I know.
if you search for ps4 or hdcp you'll find the thread. If you have a console you can't turn off hdcp, then you need to buy a hdcp stripping device. These are often used in av setup to convert hdmi to component for internal house av distribution etc.
