Can anyone tell me how it's possible to record FROM a VHS onto my DVX? i want to take a collection of stuff that's on a bunch of VHS tapes and put it all onto one Mini DV.

I'm sure there's a simple way to do this. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Not sure about going to DVX ..You might want to try Movie Maker (windows XP SP2)
If you have a capture card ( analog) you can capture with Movie Maker then export to your camera . You can try Pinnacle Studio 9 or similar Programs , I think they sell for about a $100 . Movie maker is free with XP . I have used Studio 9 AV/DV Deluxe for all my VHS tapes . I put mine to DVD as the picture Quality is better . when I output to VHS the quality is reduced somewhat . When outputting to Tape it goes back to analog . Not sure if it changes when outputting to the DVX Camera . Hope this is of somewhat helpfull to you ...Ian

You CAN dump straight to the DVX.
1> Plug your RCA cables from the output of the VCR to the RCA input/outputs on the side of the camera.
2> Place the DVX in VCR mode.
3> Hit the play/record buttons on the top of the camera (under the handle) and play your VHS. It should dub fine.
