Re: Recording from computer?

Hmmm. That is a good question. I have seen other posts asking about recording monitors and what shutter speed to use to stop the flicker. I think if recording the actual computer image was an option that would have popped up as an option. But it didn't. So my answer, unfortunately is, not sure.

The DVX does have an S-video (in/out). If you have a videocard with s-video out and you setup your computer to use the tv out as your main display then you can send a signal via s-video to the DVX. (But be careful adjusting your display settings, you might not be able to see anything to set things back to normal.)

Good luck!

Hmmm, I do have an S Video on the vid card but I cant figure out how to get the image to show up on the camera.

Re: Recording from computer?

Are you sure you are getting a signal out from the computer at all? Try hooking it up to a TV or something else and see if you get any picture. If not the problem is with the computer.

Re: Recording from computer?

Can't you just set up a tripod, point it at the screen and use synchro scan to get the proper shutter speed? I don't know what kind of quality you'd be looking at, but maybe it's worth a shot.
