Recording a 35mm film projection?

Have some questions on the best way to transfer a 35mm film to video. Trying to do something like this with little cost I figure just taping a projection should work out ok. My main question is what framerate is best if I'm shooting with my DVX? Since the film runs at 24fps would I be safe shooting at 24pa? I'm just wondering if there will be any timing issues or anything if the projector and the cam aren't rolling in sync with eachother and stuff like that. I've never done anything like this. Perhaps 60i is better for stuff like this?

Thanks,

I can see the headline now...

DVX100...THE CAMERA OF CHOICE FOR BOOTLEGGING IN THEATRES!!! Step right up to my van folks, and get your DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 :)

Just kidding of course, Im sure your on the level pal (I hope so)....

If your source is film from a projector, your playing at 24p anyway- you dont need to tape it that way. Shoot 60i and adjust your shutter for any possible strobing...thats my best guess. Hope it helps

If the projector can be altered and it has a variable speed... nah, nevermind. That's only good for silent footage.
