I recently solved a problem i had with my dvx-100 camera and I want to share the solution - save someone a trip to the cleaners (repair shop):
Problem: Power / record button popped off.
Solution: Press the white plastic button as you're squeezing the entire button assembly back in and it'll lock back on. I turned it as I was doing this also, but I don't know if that's necessary. Pushing the white button seems to create enough upward resistance to make the difference. I hope someone benefits from my few hours of troubleshooting.
