Record onto laptop HDD directly using USB2 or HDMI

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using a AG-HMC151E for recording directly to a laptop Hard-Dive instead of using an SD Card?

Also is it possible to use the AG-HMC151E camera in a sort of "webcam mode" to allow me to use a live feed?

Not through USB if that is what you mean. If your computer has HDMI, component or composite Input then yes, you could use it as an over kill webcam.
