Having trouble changing the record function on the camera. It seems to be setup not to allow anyone to change the record settings. I can change the type of video I record on the P2. I would like to change the record function so I can try some timelapse, but most of the items in my record settings menu are blue and won't be changed. Any help would much appreciated!

What recording mode are you in? Format/Framerate?

Most of those functions are disabled if you're in 24p mode, so choose 30p or 60p or 60i. And all those functions require your OPERATION TYPE to be set to VIDEO CAM instead of FILM CAM.
