Record 10-bit *and* sending a HD signal at the same time: can the DVX200 do it?

Hello:

I posted a few days ago in the GH5 forum, and now I'm posting here again, trying to see if the DVX-200 can fit the bill for what I need.

Let's see: we are preparing a project where we need to:

-Livestream events (concerts) in HD.
-Record at the same time those events, in order to edit and archive them in 4K and HDR.

This means that we need cameras that can:

-Record in 4K 10-bit log, and at the same time...
-Send an HD or 4K signal through HDMI or SDI to a switcher (if it's 4K, it would have to be downconverted downstream).

From what I've read here, the DVX-200 can send an UHD 10-bit signal through HDMI for an external recorder. My question is: when it's doing that, can it also send an HD signal at the same time through SDI? And if not, are there any external recorders that can take that signal from HDMI and output it through SDI with a LUT? (If the signal sent to the switcher is UHD, it can be downconverted there, but adding a LUT in the switcher is obviously going to be more difficult, so it'd be better if the signal that reaches the switcher is in normal Rec709 colorspace).

Also, when it comes to live productions, the delay is obviously important. If anyone has experiences with the above setup, what kind of delays does the camera have on its own? And with the external recorder?

Thanks.

As you're aware, the DVX200 can't record 10-bit at all, but it can output it to an external recorder through HDMI.

Nope. It's one or the other, either SDI is live or HDMI is live, but you can't have both live.

The AU-EVA1 can do what you're asking. It can record 10-bit UHD or 4K internally, and simultaneously output HD through the SDI to a switcher. It can also output UHD or 4K on the HDMI if you want; you can configure the two outputs differently.

Or you can use Atomos Shogun Inferno and record 10-bit and simultaneously have FHD output from it over SDI.

Thanks for your response, Barry. The EVA1 is a bit out of our price range... though if there are no other options, we'll have to either cut our feature list or consider it.

Yes, that's what I thought... but does Shogun Inferno work with the DVX200's 10-bit output at all? According to this post, it doesn't seem to:

From that link it appears that 4K 10-bit 50p and 60p are not supported, but 4K 10-bit 24p / 25p / 30p are supported.

Whoops, didn't read the columns on the left :-O . So I guess the only question left is about latency (important in live production). Can anyone who has used the Shogun Inferno and/or the DVX200 comment on that?
