Reconnect Wires on HVX502

Just got my HPX502En today..yeah..now for the fun part.

Just about to purchase the Swit Battery/Charger/ Vlock Mount
Someone at the shop told me i had to Reconnect the wires on the back of the camera to use the V lock mount is that true.
 
Well, if they are anything like our v-lock mounts, it's 4 screws, 3 wires, 2 minutes and one very easy thing to do.
 
Hey Andrew, not to be rude, but if you could try to refrain from double posting, that would be appreciated. The HPX500 community is a fairly tight nit group and many of us tend to look at all of the posts, FYI.
 
You can get a vlock adapter plate. Its simply mounts onto the existing AB. Very thin, saves the hassle of change out and if your ever on another crew with AB and your vmounts are empty, just pop the plate off.

I personally changemine completely to accomodate wireless brackets as well. Like this bracket

Sorry I wanted to add if you do a complete change out like I did, removing the AB mount and replacing with a Vmount, its not difficult at all. Only issue I had is stupid IDX made the plate on my adapter thicker than original, so I couldnt use standard screws, I had to use the actual wire connections rather than the screw plates.
