RECON 2022 Teaser

Are you from Montreal? I used to live there... Actually in St. Laurent. Really beautiful place.. except in the winter.. BRRRR.

Good luck and thanks for sharing.... So great to see someone making their own films instead of working on other people's.. That's what I feel. I went into this to do my own projects and not faciliate someone's dreams...

Yeah, I'm from Montreal. St-Laurent is very nice. Hate the winter too. We froze our butts off on the film... lol.

Making your own is the only way to get things done these days. Working for others is good for experience (or paycheck) but that's about it.

The last film I shot in the snow we nearly fried our necks because we forgot about the snow's reflective nature.

I took my wife to NH 2 christmas' ago and it was -60. She hated every second she was outdoors...

Crazy for livin' up in that mess... but it does make for a nice summer

I gotta ask, do you think you will make your 100k back on it? if so, how long do you expect to be out before a return on investment?

Well, we did about 1.5 what we put in on the first one (which allowed us to do this one) so we expect in the vicinity of the same or at least break even, which is still better than most. The new film is vetter than the first but since we have no stars, we have no illusions either. I think we can't feel safe in the fact that we will break even based on the result sof the first one. ROI will take at least a year however.

was my conclusion as well... but somehow fitting. I have to applaud anyone making their own films and doing it outside of Hollyweird..

kudos

Will it be at Fantasia festival this year?

No. The film is still in post-production at this time. We have a lot of visual effects to do.

As for the ROI question, I think it is due to the fact that we designed the film as a commercial movie, putting in the elements necessary to make it so.
