Currently I have only the battery that came with the DVX100A. The battery advertised extensively on this site 3500mah 4 hour battery for $45, is this a good battery? I would like a battery with a little more juice than the supplied battery.
I think they aren't avalaible now. Jarred replaced them by 5000mah for only 69$. And yes they are very good batteries. I have two 5000mah and they do the job! They are also lithium-ion.
That battery that comes with the camera only lasts really for bout' an hour. That's with ZOOM, and open LCD screen the whole time. Well... for me at least. I thought it was just my battery that sucked. But I used a friends... and got about the same results.
So I just went ahead and bought the $160 battery. Says it lasts like 10 hours or something. But really only lasts about 5.
I've also got one of the Panasonic CGA-D54s batterys. I guess it's the largest capacity they make. It's 5400mAh and claims 10* hours with the usual disclaimer. Works like a champ.
(Hint: Don't balance the glide cam with a smaller battery, then load up the big one....DOH! )
