recommended 35 adapters?

Whos shot w/ 35 adapters?

Which kinds?

What do you think about specific models?

I'm currenty in pre-production for a music video shoot that is going to be shot on 2 HVX-200a with a letus extreme and Nikon lenses...

Any opinions on which company/model is the best???

do a forum search for adapter. this has been soooooo already discussed ad nauseum. every adapter - every lens - every rails setup - every mattebox. its all right there for the discovering.

He's right.

I can tell you though, what I use and my experiences.

I use the Cinevate Brevis 35 because, in testing it against the RedRock, it was much more efficient, meaning that it it only lost about a half stop of light.
I love the Bokeh I get from it (using zeiss primes) and the interchangeale ground glass elements. it will cost you a bit more but it's fell worth it in my opinion.
Ive shot with many different adapters and the Brevis is my personal fav, with the Letus in close second. (on an HVX200)

Also I'm partial to Cinevate's customer service. You can get right on the forums there and talk right to the company president, Dennis Wood.

BUT, each adapter has it's strengths and weaknesses.

This whole adapter thing will probably not last for much longer if Panny and Sony get the picture and made comcorders with customizeable lens mounts though

I too am wondering about which 35mm adapter to choose. I'm getting my 200a soon, and I'm planning to rent a letus extreme to use with my own Nikon lenses.

Can anyone give me an approximate estimate on how much a daily rental rate would be for a Letus Extreme + rails set up would be for the 200a? I am in the Los Angeles area, so I know there are probably tons of places to rent, but i don't know where to look.

One more question, If I plan on using an HVX200a with a letus extreme and rails, what weight capacity tripod head should I plan on buying?

I think this is a great idea but largely wishful thinking in terms of those two companies implementing. I would probably say that will never happen and would love to be wrong about it.

I do look forward to the announcement of Scarlet's new specs. That is where you might see this sort of innovation I do believe.

is the manfrotto 501 head not a good head if I plan on using the Letus with rails and nikon lenses?? I think I read it holds about 13 lbs.

i wouldnt suggest ANY manfrotto/bogen head below the 510. they will get by, but you'll get WAY better movement as well as stability from the higher end units
