I am interested in suggestions on brands of wireless Lav mics. I do a lot of interviewing and now going on locations. If you can throw in best places to buy that would be great too.

sennheiser g2, not the block C. about $500. bhphoto.com
i wouldnt go any cheaper than that.

after you do a couple of gigs, save up about $230 and get a tram tr50 lav mic to replace the somewhat crappy lav mic that comes with it.

the C block, which covers a lot of analog tv is being sold, or auctioned off in about a year, and who knows who will buy it and what they will do with it. what we do know is that will be used for digital transmission, which works differently than the old analog transmissions. digital blocks will be a lot a stronger in chunks so it may be harder to get a decent channel is certain areas.

sennheiser will be offering some sort of program of purchases of c block equipment in the last 2 years. i don't remember the details but check their site.

Would you give us the link for Sennheiser G2? There are a lot of G2 models Which one should I consider?
Thanks

Thanks manglerBMX,

If I want to spend a lit more money, which package should I buy? I just don't feel right with Sennheiser G2 100 series if I have to replace the lav mic later.

THank you very much

Try G2 500 series with the MKE 2-ew lav.

The receiver has a balanced output *and* a headphones level output as well as all the extra switchable frequencies.
