Recommendations for a Headset mic

I'm shooting a lot of yoga classes now, and am looking for some advice/recommendations on a headset/Madonna mic. I'm using a Sennheiser G3 wireless LAV at the moment and ideally would love something that can plug into that, but am also open to the idea of other systems should there be a better recommendation?

I'm looking for some advice on how to get to shoot a lot of yoga classes.

Google search turned up this:

both are 3.5mm Locking Mini-Jack Connector, which I believe fits the G3 series.

The Countryman H6 is good for workouts and other activities with it's dual earpiece design, it's ain't low cost though. OST's HM-701 may be worth a look at for less $$$. Lots of others are available from Shure and the usual suspects. Most are available with the G2/3 locking connector.

Addendum: I would recommenced an omni directorial capsule, unless feedback from an integrated PA system is an issue.
Regarding the 1/8" plug; Sennheiser and Sony use different wiring configuration, so they are not cross-compatable, even though the plug is the same. I recall reading the new Rode GHz systems bodypack Tx is compatible with the G2/3 plug config.

I use Countryman headset mics. One thing I like is that they hold up well to sweat. But as Rick says, they aren't cheap...you could buy a couple OST and have a backup (or two) if the first fails).

And it becomes a style issue, but you could also look at something like a Countryman E2 Earset...that's a mic that extends just partly down the cheek. I've used those for some musical-theater and athlete stuff...taped down on the cheek to hold in place.

Upsides: Sounds great, not visually intrusive, and stays in place as wearer moves around and bends, sweat not a big issue (in my experience).
Downside: Not cheap, talent needs to be OK with having mic taped to cheek.

Matthew, let us know what ends up working for you!

Don't know what a Madonna mic is. But it sounds like you mean earset and not headset. If that's true, the Countryman earsets are commonly used; they have models with Sennheiser termination IIRC.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at the countryman, but it didn't fit the budget at the moment. I ended up going with a Rode HS2, which I'll be using for a shoot next week.
