Recommendation Wanted: Anyone bought tripod from this eBayer?

Hi folks;

I had my tripod and one of my Sony camera's stolen a few months ago, they broke into my house and ripped off - luckily the neighbor saw them, and they ran before completely cleaning me out. This down turn economy brings out the worst in some people - the cop told me, there was a dramatic rise in crime, because of this.

In any case, I'm shopping for a new tripod, and looking to save money. I checked out this eBay shop: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Lumieretech-com__W0QQ_armrsZ1QQ_fsubZ10292437 and his stuff is cheap and seems to be reviewed pretty well.

Would like to know if anyone has recommendations on him or any other eBay sellers for a good tripod.

Hello, YES!!! No problems at all, a year back i bought the 9903 for $450.00 brand new off of Ebay, it came with a carrying bag and was surprisingly great! The Head is solid and fluid and has great counter balance as well. Comes with a QR plate and two pan handles as well. The legs are lightweight and sturdy, they are a german company i believe and it's pretty well made. Now even though i moved to a bigger setup i still was very impressed with the quality and the pice of this set up.

Curious why you had to go to a bigger setup from the 9903? More equipment, bigger camera?

I'm thinking 9901, or something in that range - and wondering if it'll suffice for DVX100A (and new Panny when I buy it), with basic stuff, mics, light, etc..? What do you recommend?

Oh, i added a 35mm dof adapter on my own rig and and i also shoot a lot with F900s, i could use the 9903 no problem and i still do on lighter setups, i just got a great deal on cartoni system and i wanted to use the dutch head. el 9901 is rated for 13lbs, i'm not sure about that head though,
as long as it gives you a decent counter balance with adjustable drag. Is it heavy duty enough to grow with? Did you see this one? Cheers

hey Naeem let me know how was it. I'm looking to get one too. for 362 it seem too good to be true i mean the bogen 503HD head cost as much but only the head and this thing here are the whole tripod and cost the same
