Recommend some "Weird" Movies

Have to go with "Being John Malkovich", "Adaptation" and "Abre los ojos (IMDb - Open Your Eyes)" which is the film Vanilla Sky was adapted from. You know, even though it was mainstream Arnold Schwarzenegger did "Total Recall", "The Sixth Day" and "End of Days" which were all straight-forward but kind of weird.

I'd be remiss not to mention: "Identity", "The Usual Suspects" (of course) and "Frailty".

Wild Side - An investment banker (Anne Heche) buys a house with an ocean view she can't afford so she moonlights as a $1500 a night call girl who is forced by a federal agent to setup a guy who launders money (Christopher Walken) who used to be married to an Asian woman (Joan Chen), and even cuts and dyes his hair to look like hers, and gets her to help him launder money at the investment banker/call girl's bank by going there and pretending she has a shoe company and whose money laundering boyfriend later falls in love with the investment banker/call girl and asks said investment banker/call girl to seduce his wife and it gets weirder from there ....

What about "Wild Things" with Matt Dillion and Denise Richards how many ways could that thing twist?

Mulholand Drive, Twin Peaks... Well, anything Lynch...

You can also try Crash (not the American one)

Breaking the Waves, from Lars Von Trier

And of course Dogville- didn't like it, but its as weird as it gets.

I almost forgot, one of my favorite filmmakers is a Canadian named Guy Madden. Plenty of weirdness in his stuff and some fantastic, original work.

If anyone knows Weird, I know it's you Mark.. :)

Keep them coming guys, I'm lovin it. I Guess this David Lynch guy is a pretty weird one, been mentioned a few times, never seen any of his stuff, I gotta check them out.

And I finally saw "Secretary" also the other day, it was cool, pretty strange... specially the scene... well don't wanna ruin it for anyone.

I did see “Battle Royale”, I’ve yet to see “Itchy the Killer” the premise alone sounds crazy. Abre los ojos(Vanillay Sky) is one of my favorite check my Avatar.

The Movie "Teeth" just came in the mail, I'm checking it out Today or Tomorrow.

anything by cronenberg till the 2000's
david lynch
takashi miike

theres enough weird to make you go insane.

Some people didn't like the Cruise version but I thought it was very good. When Cameron Diaz snaps in the car I was like oh wow - this is gonna be a problem for you buddy.

C. Triumph of the will-

D. Slaughter house five-

DogDay.

These aren't just weird they're pretty good films also.

Finally saw "Teeth" it was weird, but bad weird... the Acting was so bad... couldn't believe how bad. The story had potential but... anyway there's already a Thread for this film...

1 Down... about 2 million more to go.. :) keep them coming guys.

This guy needs to do a feature as soon as possible. I'm sure it would be very weird if he did.

I'm mainly looking for Feature films, I want to get lost in the weirdness for about an hour or so...

but thanks for the suggestions.

No problem. I like to do the same thing.

Weird movies are always worth the time spent watching them, even if they aren't necessarily good movies. I think that they help to open up a bridge that forms a stronger link from our conscious mind to our subconscious mind.

You really should bend that rule and watch Un Chien Andalou. It's THE original "weird" film. Also, it's public domain, so you can legally download it.
