GH4 Recommend ND filter for GH4 + Speedbooster + Sigma 18-35 lens

If you are going to get a few filters it is smartest to get a large size like 77mm or 82mm and then use inexpensive step-up rings in order to screw them onto lenses that may have smaller front diameters. Otherwise you may get stuck having to but the same expensive filter multiple times in multiple sizes to accomodate different lens diameters.

All 'variable' ND filters are really just 2 polarizing filters put together and thus will cause 2 different color shifts - yellow to one side and blue to the other.
However the SLR MAGIC Variable ND filter does not work this way and does not cause the color shifts - but it is a little more expensive. Probably quite worth it though.

The Hoya PRO-ND series are outstanding and might just be the best overall without stepping up to a much more expensive class of filters. 4-stop is probably the most commonly used, followed by 6-stop and 2-stop. If you bought a 4 and 6 stop pair you may just find this covers 'most' of typical shooting situations.

If you will be doing a lot of run and gun shooting where you literally only have a moment to set up and grab the shot then the SLR Magic Vari-ND might be a better choice.

Just bear in mind that pretty much no one regards any vari-nd filter as being as good optically as the fixed strength filters - but that SLR Magic one does still have a great reputation.

I like Kenko Zetas because they are slim, and come in a "clamshell" case that is very fast to open and close. They sell on Amazon and elsewhere.
