Recommend a shoulder mount universal base plate for fs100/700

I'd look at the Berkey System gear. They've got a baseplate designed just for the FS-100, along with plenty of other mounting bits and pieces. That way, you can put together a kit that should fit exactly what YOU want.

I have the Berkey FS100 baseplate and really like it, especially when going handheld... but make sure you get a quick release plate to go between the camera and the baseplate. It is a pain if you ever want to unmount it from the camera.

Since you're looking at uk sites, you should check out shoot35.com. They have a baseplate that fits the FS100. It's quite nice, I haven't had a single issue with it yet.
Order some extra rails at the same time.

For the shoulder part, I went ahead and made the IKEA DIY... mostly for fun, but as it turned out, it's quite sturdy. The only thing I had to change was the handles. The original version handles are too weak to carry the FS100, so I just bought a couple of 15mm handles with screw locks. They do the job! And the shoot 35 baseplate slides right on to there as the design of the shoulder mount is made to fit all 60mm setups.

I use a complete Berkey System on my FS100. Though not inexpensive, all of the components are superbly made and finished and very lightweight. The service from Brian Berkey is nothing short of fantastic. He will consult with you and help you put together the best system for your needs and shooting style.

Hey thanks a lot guys! Berkey systems are good, but here in the UK the prices are always inflated...I am buying it for the FS700 when I get the camera. legrevedotcom thanks for the link to shoot 35, the base plate looks really well made. I was thinking of getting extra rails and attaching a Porta brace shoulder pad and a counterweight, what do you think? Also the ikea DIY looks amazing!

Does anyone know of a good battery and power distribution box? one I could attach at the back of the rods? a cheap one or second hand/ used would do..
