Just thought I'd share some stills from a pair of low budget shorts I DPed recently.
GH2 patched with FlowMotion2.02, Lomo anamorphic lenses.

Thanks for taking a look!
I'll try to post the films once they're available.

I like it! You have a really great control over the latitude and the colors are very pleasing! As for the Lomo lenses, those are designed for 4x3? Is the extreme wide aspect ratio or image cropping problematic for delivery? Thinking about festivals and such.

Thanks Stranden.
Yeah, they're 2x lenses. Cropping has never really been an issue. Most things are for the web, so a 720p output is just fine.
If it needs to be 1080p, upscaling isn't too big a deal, won't be razor sharp, but with 40 year old scope lenses that's not the intention anyway.
Getting the mood and look right takes precedence.

However, when I have the resources and it's practical, I prefer to shoot 4K.
Also, really hoping the BMcc adds a 4:3 mode one day!

I like your philosophy (getting the mood and look right vs getting the sharpest picture possible at any expense). What can I say, those stills speak for themselves. Really top work, Ryan.

Hey, what do you think about the GH2 vs the GH1? I just got my GH2 but haven't had a chance to work with it. I loved the GH1, except the nasty banding I used to get when underexposing too much (2 stops and under). Do you think the GH2 is any less filmic than the GH1? I've heard people say that before, but I haven't yet read any rational explanation about what they mean. How about the noise pattern? I tend to prefer the GH2, it looks a little more like film grain.

Keep up the good work, man! Also (im)patiently waiting for a chance to watch Hills Green!

Hey MH, thanks!
I like the images from both the 1 and 2. The GH2 has a nosier image overall, but it is a pretty nice grain as you said.
The fact that you can hack it to such high bitrates, the lack of that weird plaid banding we used to get on the GH1 and the HDMI out while recording makes it the hands down winner for me.
And I don't think it's less 'filmic' (if there is such a thing) than the GH1.

Thanks again.
And Hills Green will be out and about in 2013 for sure!
