recent projects..

k.. i posted this in the rowe cine dolly thread cause its shot off the rowe cine dolly, but i figured id post it here so peeps can see some rough stuff from my latest projects. no audio cause i dont want to blab about who im working for. nothing really interesting.. just some basic dolly shots for projects im working on. should be all flashy and such with graphics and AE work when they are done.

YOU MUST RIGHT CLICK AND "SAVE AS" and rename file extension from .txt to .wmv

http://webpages.charter.net/kmushim...ough%20demo.txt

Neil - You might change the extension from "txt" to something that's not going to map to a real file format. Otherwise, someone is going to click the link and launch a text editor/word processor or some other app and load it with a large bogus "txt" file.

..actually, it will likely just crash notepad , and have it hang there when it tries to open.
people who dont listen to what i wrote about downloading it will like it alot. :)

Neil, that's the funniest thing I've read in recent memory

By the way, I understood most of the text file but I'm a little confused about line 50, 687 - can you clarify?

Nice shots.

Nice dolly moves.

The woman scared me. She walks in a very strange way... like she was on a boat.

client had asked me the same thing about walking weird. honestly im so busy looking at technicalities when shooting that i dont even notice stuff like that.. but its not something that can be changed either way aside from changing shot type but shots were pre planned and schedule was tight as could be. eventual audience will be listening to audio and reading graphics and such so likely wont be focal point either.

Neil only thing that bothered me were the Z99 Shots... A little shakey... All that just for DOF?

Good work!

I suspect she was walking between dolly tracking... :)

This is certainly the answer ! :) Well done Disjecta.

But the Rowe Cine Dolly track section looks very small.

EDIT : It wasn't a critic IamLoser, :) not at all. just a remark and the dolly moves are really very good.

the first shot plays a little choppy cause the file stutters on opening, or upon first hitting play on a slower machine. its actually very smooth if you watch it again after it loads the first time or use faster machine. but yes doing a tracking shot with a counter pan at a long focal length is hard.. which is wha the first shot is. but it is smooth if it plays correctly.

as for the pictures.. those are rally wide shots. that dolly is 4' by 28" so the track is roughly 26" apart.. a little under 2 1/2" feet apart. you can make the dolly as wide as you want or as long as you want .. with the 1' corners the skys the limit.. with the 4' rails you might only want to make it 4' long, but the width is up to you.. 28" barely fits through a doorway without taking the door off. so that gives you an idea of how far apart the tracks are with the whelss at the very edge of the dolly like that. :)
