REC / PAUSE lcd display

Is it possible to turn off the REC - PAUSE display while on OSD so it won't show on external monitor?

Thanks for the reply.
I need the OSD on so I can stamp date/time on dvd burner.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get rid off the REC/PAUSE when OSD is on?
