I have to shoot a live event: outdoors at night, christmas light boat parade. The boat lane is about 100' from the closest we can get with cameras, and there is very little extra lighting along the route. Very dark for a camera to shoot in.
We haven't purchased any camcorders yet, so I thought I'd ask here which pro-sumer/entry-level pro cams can handle low-light, long zoom work?
Also open to bridge cameras with clean HDMI (or SD composite output)
I don't mind cranking up the gain -- The livestream will be downsampled to 640x360 from full hd anyway. I just need a cam that I can lock focus and exposure, with a long enough zoom. The longest I've found is 20x, but that's too wide.
I've poured over countless camera specs, but there's a big difference between what's written down, and actual, hands-on experience.
Thanks, y'all.
