REBATE problems!

I hope no one else is having the problems collecting their $300 rebate on the DVX.

I bought from B&H (not grey market). Carefully filled out, double-checked and mailed my forms and pop early in June. Got my battery and tapes but no check. Emails ignored, calls no help so far.

Any clues on who to chase would be appreciated.

Go to Panny website, follow the links to dvx100a and rebate. You can look up rebate status by serial number. You can call the phone number there for rebate follow ups. Rebates take at least 60 days.
 
I didn't have anything close to the problems you are having. Go to the website and call the phone number, and just keep calling until you get the woman there on the phone (it is like one person but she gives her email address on the voicemail). I got my rebate within about 6-10 weeks of purchase and my battery and tapes about two months later. I had no problems with the whole process and thought it was rather smooth.

By now, you should have received that check, so call and follow up with them.
 
They sent me a letter saying that my serial number was invalid. I gave them a call, that lady answered (she has a slight southern accent) and I told her my problem. She asked for my info and called me back 2 days later saying my rebate check would be in the mail, appx 6-10 weeks til I got it. Its coming up on 6-10 weeks so I can't wait to get it.
 
Be patient. It will take a while, but it's all good. I waited what seemed like forever for the battery and tapes, but it was worth it because they sent me AMQ tapes instead of the MQ ones.
