Rebate DVX100b

I've sent the rebate via the web... But how can you know that it actually was sent and got there? I would hate to miss the rebate because it got lost in cyberspace???
 
There used to be a way to check your rebate status. Not sure where that went. It looks like the link on the official Panasonic page changed over to a mail-in only PDF file now. Sorry, don't know what to tell ya. Maybe Jan will check in here.

This is the page where you can check the status, if you filled online.

Finally, this is the page for the mail in rebate. You will have to send in a copy of the invoice, and the UPC codes on the box. It seems that this is not a requirement if you chose to use the online rebate. Nevertheless, i would personally check out the terms and conditons just to be safe.

I just purchased my dvx100b on the 23, and when i check the rebate status, it says, check in process. So, to me it seems as if the rebate has been processed correctly, and they will me a check in about a month.
 
FYI: I filled out the on-line rebate page as you have mentioned. It took the Book/DVD and Magic Bullet about two weeks to arrive. The check will take 4 to 6 weeks as per the rebate website.
 
What do i do if my serial number isnt working? Its definately the right thing....its on the outside of the box directly below the "AG-DVX100BP" and also underneath the viewfinder. When i put it in a correction page comes up that says "please enter a valid serial number".
 
Weird. Weston's and wedog's last posts showed up as PM's in my inbox. :huh:
I'd call the rebate center or wait to see if Jan responds to this thread.

well i'm not as worried now that i know its good till may 31st
 
The only resolution at this point is to do a manual filing of the rebate. It came to our notice that we were being scammed and so the online rebate is closed, print out the form from our DVX100 product page, follow the instructions and mail it in.

Sorry for the inconvenience but as it stands there is someone in California that is $2800 richer and 6 people wondering why their serial numbers are not working. So while the rebate folks have not taken the form down, it will not work. Print out the PDF from our website and that will work. Don't forget the UPC code from the box.

So if we've received the book/DVD but not the check yet is it safe to assume the rebate filled out online is okay or do we still need to fill out the paper form? Please say it's okay because I've already thrown out the box. :\

I thought this was a really 'loose' way to allow for a rebate.
Kind of neat to use but if someone can think of a way to make money then they will exploit it.
(too bad though)

alilvietboi4u asked whether a certain website was legit. And then he posted that website. I asked the Moderators to pull that post because it is a private site. It is for claiming the Book and Magic Bullet . It is a website that is on a document inside of the DVX that has been shipped from Japan directly to the dealers. I want to keep that online registration open but if everyone finds out what it is we will start to be scammed there as well and I will have to shut that down too.

Right now that website also serves as a rebate claim site as well.

All that said, if you have a piece of paper that gives you a website to go to, you may go there, it is legit, but please do not post that website anywhere.

FYI: the rebate site can be reached through many other places. I won't say how so as not to stir up any trouble, but I looked at the on-line form many times and long before I bought the DVX100B (in a legitamate manner). I wish all hackers and thieves would take a long walk on a short bridge.
 
There is only one rebate site still working. The site that was public has been widely publicised, but there is a site that comes in the box with a new camera and that one has not been. It is indeed different. Are you saying that this different site is availablle at will all over the net? I have not found that to be true.

Please verify as I may have to take it down as well.
