Really Fine Suit Pattern - F3 Resolving Power - Moire

So, nothing scientific here, but I did a little shoot yesterday for kicks. Shot on my F3. My talent showed up, and his suit had one of those ultra fine thread patterns.

I was concerned about how it might cause moire, and such, but it held up pretty well I think, all the way to 1080p youtube.

Well, there was definite moire. Not horrific but it's there and noticable. The first I've seen out of the F3 or FS100 too of any significance, but man that was really a worst, worst case scenario. I mean that suit screamed "do not wear on TV"

Something to think about.... The monitor used to view the footage.
For example, I have viewed footage I have shot on several different monitors, and on my broadcast monitor and plasma everything looked great, but on a couple of consumer LCD sets there were problems.

It was a horrible suit for television! And I agree, different monitors will likely handle it very differently. In this case, the youtube compression may help slightly.
