I was asked to shoot a 4 games series for my daughter's soccer team in Santa Barbara this last weekend. I did so, and am now working on producing several videos of her team mates to help them in getting a sports scholarship. All seemed to go well and the footage, when played back in-cam, looks really good. However....once I load it into Premiere Pro 5.5 to edit, I see such bad aliasing and moire that it really renders the footage useless. It is seen in the goal netting, and vertical fence posts. But only on the Premiere Pro timeline, NOT in the footage when played back in the camera or when clips are played back in Windows Media Player. Then it looks just beautiful. It was shot at the fields at UC Santa Barbara. I don't understand why the footage could look fine in-cam, yet be soooo bad on the timeline. Never seen that happen before, where there was such a huge discrepancy in what I thought I shot, and what I get on the timeline. All footage was shot at 1080/60i. Timeline is also same. What's going on??? Any ideas / comments on what do do next would sure be appreciated!
