Hi Everyone!

Thanks for posting this, I've had my GH4 for about week and I love it.

In my 1366x768 display, there's some aliasing in the last shot... about minute 13:55-13:57... Is there in your 4K native files or is the downsampling?

4k on the GH4 does not produce aliasing. Not sure where you see aliasing but that's either the texture of the roof tiles or the texture of the telephone line that you're seeing. I recorded on 4k and down-ressed to 1080p so perhaps that might be why you're seeing perceived aliasing.

Yes, in the roof tiles. Maybe downsized, but the fact it is visible screened through a 1366x768 display.

Are you sure not visible in the native 4K?

I am paying for two units by tomorrow.

I guess one of them can become mandatory to avoid these artifacts, once most part part will end lower than 4K for sure:

I'm pretty sure it's not visible in 4K, at least that's the way I'm seeing it. Those are roof tiles from my neighborhood and all of them are textured that way. Down-ressing does tend to introduce artifacts depending on what screen you're watching it on but I'm sure you'll be satisfied once you purchase those units. Cheers!

There is no real in camera aliasing in the GH4 in 4K. I may not be QUITE as much of a stickler as some people (I swear some people would see aliasing in IMAX film) but I know it when I see it in any kind of pattern and I can confidently say that I have never, and you will never see aliasing produced by the camera in 4k. It's a pixel for pixel readout of the sensor, so there is no missing information and missing pixels. 1080 is another matter. It's not very bad, I can easily live with it in most normal situations, but it is there. But 4K is as clean as you will see from any camera.
