Here is a sizzle reel for a reality show called "High Score" that a friend and I produced.

It's about people that find, restore, and sell old Arcade and Pinball games.

We shot a 22 minute demo episode and cut it down to a 5 minute version for the sizzle.

This was all done with no budget at all, were hoping to produce a real pilot once we have a budget and more than 2 people working on it.

We used two GH2's with the lumix 14-42 14-140 and 20mm 1.7 pancake lenses. Audio was recorded on a Zoom H4N with a Rode Video Mic Pro attached.

No hack was used just the highest quality 24P setting with stock firmware.

This was are first attempt at shooting with DSLRs instead of pro camcorders.

Editing was done in FCP 7. (next project we will probably move to FCP X)

If you like to see the full 22 minute demo reel just PM me since the video is not public yet.

Treatment is registered with the WGA.

Are the hand held shots just the cam in your bare hands? Some of those shots seem a little shaky. I like the editing. I have a friend that is into old arcade cabinets so I like the concept too.

Really enjoyed it - and the 5 minutes passed like 2 :)

Camera format didn't really matter for me... just thought the content was good... and it would be great to see this move to a series!

Agreed. Good content and moved. This is one of those times where I don't peep on the production quality. Excellent!

Still needs a lot of work if we had money to do this we would hire somone to do audio and another to do the color correction. But this is just a demo to get the gist of the show. But overall im happy we choose the Gh2 for the project. Seems like the video mic pro picks up e everything and it's not very directional btw.

Some were done with a cheap cowboy studio shoulder mount. Others were really handheld.

I would watch this show. Dont over estimate the audience. Some people like myself are interested in what you have to say with the content. Dont let "Quality" get in your way. It's fine as content. If you want to make it better go for it, just know that its was an interesting spot and I didn't once pixel peep. Hell I still have VHS tapes that I watch and this way way better quality. It was a lot better than listening to classical music over a tree bending in the wind in perfect picture quality, thats for sure

Love the show!
I don't care if you shot it on an iPhone!
This is just good content and GREAT editing!
Hope I get to watch a whole episode one day!

If this came on TV while my lady and I were eating lunch, it would probably be on TLC or Discovery, and i may not change the channel. So it definitely passes the test.
