real-time color correction disabled

I just purchased and installed Magic Bullet Editors for Avid. I run Avid Xpress 5.0. And since I installed Magic Bullet (which itself has worked perfectly for me), I’ve lost the ability to see my color correction in Avid in real-time. That is, before I installed Magic Bullet, whenever I was color correcting I could view the changes I was making as I was making them (contrast, gamma, gain, hue, etc.). But now I can’t see anything until it’s rendered. The picture in the source/record monitor doesn't change to reflect the new contrast or gamma setting (or anything else) until AFTER I render it.

Now, keep in mind I’m editing on a laptop (Dell Inspiron 1150). But it seems that Magic Bullet has changed something in my graphics processing (?) so that viewing my color correction progress on my laptop is disabled. Because it was working fine before.

Any advice?

Somewhere in the settings (not in front of my Avid right now, sorry) there's an option called "Render on the fly." It sounds like the Magic Bullet install turned this option off. Look through and see if you can find it. If you haven't posted by the time I'm at my Avid I'll post more specific instructions, but I bet that's the problem.

D'oh. It's not in settings. It's an option under the Clip menu. Make sure there's a checkmark next to "Render On-the-Fly."

Damn you're good!

Damn you're good!

krestofre! That is exactly what hapened. And maybe I'm the one who un-checked Render on the Fly and not Magic Bullet (I was trying my hand at rendering a number of effects at once, something that should be FAR more straightforward in Avid than it is). Anyhow, you're a smart one. Making sure that Render on the Fly is enabled has returned my real-time color correction. Thank you!!!
