Yeh.. just go with the ole trusty B&H. Even after seeing a tempting $1499 brand new
7D on Ebay, I decided to just shell out a couple more hundred for that 100% satisfaction that comes with dealing with B&H.

Check eBay for lowest prices. I got mine on there new from a guy who took the lens out of the kit.

There really is no advantage paying more at B&H. I'd be all over it for $2,259.95 on eBay.

Every place is pretty much right at $2,500. for body only at this point:

I'm in the same boat. Sold my Mk I and I'm loking to upgrade. I've been debatiing the MkII and the 7d. I'd love to have the 60p, but need FF for stills. Plus onboard audio seems better with the 5D. Ahhhhh decisions!

Also, if you can get approved Best Buy offers good financing. 24 or 36 month 0%.

if you need FF for stills, Stevesy, then get the 5D for sure. if you also need 60p, then you're in a pickle. but do you really NEED 60p?

the 5d has superior picture quality to the 7d.

also, if you already have glass geared toward FF usage, then mk ii is a simple transition.

note: the 7d has full HD monitoring (hdmi output) WHILE recording. the 5D doesn't (480). this is a big deal for some, not so much for others.

Some excellent points. I don't need 60p, but after using an HMC40 recently I like the effect. Really though I could just get a t2i as a b/slowmo cam to the 5D.
