Here is the film, I hope you enjoy!

I wrote a two page short back in October of 2011 but got way too busy to shoot it before the end of the year. Late in January we were able to get a solid crew down for a two day shoot that took place last weekend. As always we had a couple setbacks that pushed a couple scenes back and so we still aren't quite done but so far I have to say I am nothing but ecstatic about what we have been able to accomplish. The cast and crew I have the pleasure of working with has really jumped in and given their all and it shows. Here is a mock poster and a couple production stills to start the thread off, hopefully I'll be able to post the film in a couple weeks. Until then, I'll try and update this with the progress we are making. Thanks for looking guys!

Very romantic and entropic I must say:) Personally the end - the bite - scarred me. Didn't quite expect it.

For me it was a bit empty. Emotionally and intellectually. Don't want to be a "smart ass" but just for debate's sake: let's say you would have put a bit of back story to the zombie protagonist (he is a zombie right?), not much, just a few shots of him being disappointed by his loved one or something. Then in the end when he went to the girl with a flower in his hand there would be a much bigger emotional pay-off and a much bigger statement and surprise when he would have bitten her. Plus the whole in-between part would have been more "sad" and more emotional in general. What do you think?

What is the film about anyway? I'm really intrigued as to what's the statement you're trying to make:)

Anyway, nice job, and congratulations on a good short film. Did you have a budget for this or was it a non-budget film?

Thanks for looking guys!

@KINOKS - Completely understand what you're saying regarding the lack of "story" or "reason" if you will. I wanted it to be empty, sparse from the outset. In many ways this is a bit of a personal film and just something I needed to make. It is an experiment in film making a different way then I normally do it. I wanted to stick to the principle all the way from the writing and it's inception through post. I understand this can make it less accessible and even worse of a film perhaps, but it was intentional and it was important for me to have it that way.

As to what I'm trying to say? I wouldn't say I want you to walk away with a message or meaning, I'd prefer you make up your own! Honestly if you felt something, anything at all during or after the film then I'm happy. We didn't have a budget for anything but food, costumes, and expendables and we were so lucky to have wonderful and talented people on both the cast and crew. They made this film happen, no doubt.

Hey. Congrats on the film. I really enjoyed this! I thought it was really well made, great cinematic shots, good music and acting. I thought the story was great as is, I wouldn't have changed anything. What did you shoot it on? What are your plans for it now it's done?

Cheers

Thanks! I'm going to be looking into some festivals most likely, see if I can't get it into a few of those. This was all shot on a 7D with the 24-105 f/4 L.
