RE: Your advice

RE: Your advice

Hi,

I'm a first time feature length filmmaker doing a documentary (http://www.myspace.com/tmsldoc). I'm working on this incredible and life affirming project and I'm going to be shooting myself. I will be, for the first time, shooting with a DVX camera. I'd like to buy one in the $4000-5000 range. Might anyone be able to suggest a model / manufacturer (and I've heard Panasonic makes an excellent system) that I should look into? Also, might anyone be aware of a seller or even how I could buy a used system? Thanks for your consideration and welcome all responses here or to my email address: schiller25@yahoo.com.

Respectfully,

Brian

I can't help it; all I can think of, regarding "life affirming," is what George Carlin had to say, in "Brain Droppings..."

You can score a new DVX100B well within your price range from a number of sources, or a damn-near-as-good (discontinued) DVX100A for less. And a lot of people (some of them around here) have done positively magnificent work, with those cameras.

And, as usual, what you need to know is right here...
