Re: Twixtor from 60p source

Re: Twixtor from 60p source

When using footage that was recorded at 60p, should we bring the source file into a 30p timeline or 60p timeline when using Twixtor to slow down the footage?

Premiere Pro CS5.5 appears to only be able to render up to 29.97fps, this is what is messing with my brain.

I also had all kinds of issues when using twixter in premiere, I would get orange frames, then do the fix, then get crash after crash, used it in AE, and it worked perfect and with 60p footage, then bring it back to premiere with no issues, are you putting 60p on a 24p timeline?

Well I'm trying both 30p and 60p timelines in PPCS5.5, also I'm noticing when slowing down fast movement like someone playing drums, the arm on the drummer tends to teleport from point A to B.

I noticed that the PP version of Twixtor has no "Input Frame Rate" field while AE does. Why is this?

Just got a reply from Pierre at RE:Vision Effects:

"Because AE allows us to get the source frame rate within a comp at another frame rate and Premiere does not.
In Premiere you have to use Modify|Interpret Footage to put the source clip at the destination timeline FPS (the frame rate you want to render to)
We're finishing a tutorial for Premiere on that (should be out in a couple of weeks)"
