Re: Top Japanese Filmmaking Blogger: "Canon Does Not Want Us To Use Their DSLRs...."

Extremely popular??? I don't think so!!
Check out his website:
http://www.raitank.jp/
The dates of his posts indicates he doesn't post much at all. Even my own blog (tiny thing, I have very very few readers! Come join, here is my latest post: http://ironfilm.co.nz/brainstorming-a-future-us3000-samsung-cinema-camera/) has more posts than his! Check out the forum on his site too, not many recent posts there either.

Anyway, I find nothing too unusual in what he is saying in his interview. When you take into account his perspective he could be coming from, and the language barrier, it isn't too different than what many other people might say from other countries such as even from here my own country of NZ I could say something similar.

Basically he is saying:
DSLRs for filming has been replaced by mirrorless.
4K is only finally gaining traction.

Who is surprised by those statements? Not me! Nobody is.
