It's also worth noting that XAVC-L is on average 4 times more efficient than XAVC-I so you can actually think of the data rate as being 4 times higher when comparing it

The only disadvantage seems to be the computer grunt needed to deal with it in post.. ?

yeah a bit taxing on machines, but if you re-encode it to ProRes you can be slicing through it just about it on any machine or NLE.

Yes, I've needed to upgrade to be fs5 ready.
