re importing a project

hi,

I exported a project to quick time, (luckily) because over the weekend my computer crashed and I lost all my work.

I'd like to import my project back into avid, but i want to separate the audio tracks. Is this possible??

Quicktime movies are a mix down of video and audio. Not going to be able to restore a full sequence from a QT export.

You say you lost your work. What do you mean?

Is your Source Footage offline? - bring it back on and relink

Your sequence is gone? - check the Avid attic that auto stores bin saves

You deleted the Avid project file? - then your screwed. import your mixed down QT and try your best to rebuild with re-imported assets and edits.

Yeah the avid project file was gone, I've since tried to import the orignal quick time file, ( i do this as a back up as i go) I've managed to import it and 'cut' it. So, i'm happy. I was worrying a little about not been able to reedit the project. PHEW! ;-)
