Does the GH3 still give a delay/lag via hdmi-out?

I see a few youtube/vimeo videos showing this, but are a few years old. Not sure if they have fixed it in firmware?

And what about the GH4?

It is rather disappointing, but the lag is pretty bad with the YAGH's SDI output as well.
The YAGH connects to the Micro HDMI output of the GH4 and therefore suffers from the same (if not worse) lag.
I would say it is better when you shoot 1080p. It seems the downscale from 4K/UHD to HD resolution increases the lag.
Didn't get a chance to try the Shogun which accepts 4K signal over HDMI, would be interesting to see if there is any difference with downscale turned off.
 
Atomos released a demo video of the Shogun attached to the GH4 & the lag was bad.

HDMI always has some latency but the GH4's implementation is especially poor.
 
I used a GH4 with the Zacuto EVF Pro and man was is hard to shoot with. The EVF also has lag. Add that with the GH4's it was a mess.

We have been asking for this fix since a week after delivery.

But instead Panasonic has decided to introduce things like anamorphic and log.

I'm going to guess that it's something they can't fix!
