Re: example of concept  for commercial

Here are my thoughts on the DIRECTION:

1.  I think one shot coverage of the baby is good like you have it.  I would put a lot of effort into making this a very beautifully lit and composed shot.  I think shooting it during the day, or simulating early morning sunlight would be very appropriate

2.  I would not cut to the white on black supers.  I would probably have a VO over the shot of the baby.  Maybe consider doing supers on the shot of the baby.

3.  The type just seems to be the wrong choice.  I'd experiment with other typefaces.

4.  End on the logo, or use a logo then cut to a 2-3 sec "button" at the end if you have one.  (a button is when they cut back to some action right AFTER the logo + tag)

5.  Unless you have good tabletop footage of the product, I would avoid making it part of your concept.  Especially if this a reel piece.  Now if you can shoot or get a hold of some nice product footage, that's another story.

First of all, that is the MOST ambiguous title for a thread I've ever read. "example of concept" ;D

Secondly, I thought the video was good. I agree with points 3 & 4 from above.

Good stuff.

Thank you for the input. Really good suggestions. I may play around with it more. As far as the baby shot, i was just messing around with the camera because it really was her first word "mmmm" and only when she ate the gerber oatmeal cereal. That is why I even decided to slap the piece together. Now the kid just throws food all over the place. Never get that shot again. oh well. Thanks again people.
