Anyone know if there is a recording time limit when recording via HDMI?

i read somewhere the live view shuts down after 1hour to prevent overheating. good enough for me

I do not think it will shut down until it actually overheats, runs out of battery, or memory.
So it could run for less than an hour on a hot day or much longer when cooled and it has external power.
