Me? No way. I learn more from David and Jive every day. I love Vegas, but I'm certainly not an expert in it. I love teaching and doing workshops too, but I'm not qualified to teach Vegas compared to some of these other guys!

But if you want a workshop, check out Douglas Spotted Eagle's VASST tour... I hear great things about it, and Spot definitely knows Vegas inside & out!

Re: Barry Green

Hey,
Does that download that I have seen for $30 bucks that does a bunch of short cuts and has a video wall effect and others good for Vegas 5 or is it just for 4? I believe its call Excalibur or something like that. Saw it on a 2-Pop forum.

Re: Re: Barry Green

Go to Creative COW and post the question to Gary Kleiner in the Vegas forum. Nothing like going to the source.

Re: Re: Barry Green

Actually, I used to teach FCP, but for some reason lost interest in it since I started using Vegas  ;)

Teaching Vegas might be fun, but as I see it, I still have a LOT more to learn about the program.  I've only been using it a little over a year now (and really only intensly using it for about 6 months).  I still learn new things every day from others on this and other forums.

I would definitely recommend checking out Douglas Spotted Eagle's VASST tour.  He's a great guy who's very good at teaching.  He's been involved with Vegas since day one so he definitely knows his stuff.

Also FYI, Ed Troxel's Excalibur, Tsunami, and Neon (Excalibur and Neon were co-authored by Gary Kleiner) have all been upgraded to work with V5.  They are nice little collections of (mostly)useful scripts.  I just used Neon's PBS wizard to make a 30min pan/scan slideshow in less than 3min!  As Barry suggested, check out Creative Cow (link), not just to talk directly to Gary and Ed, but also because they have put some of their scripts (some of which are part of their plugins) on the site for free.  I'll post the direct link to the scripts if I can find it again.  :)

EDIT: Here's the link to the scripts on the Cow:
