I have been taking a hard look at the AG-HMR10. I just noticed that the brochure states:

HD-SDI input and HD/SD-SDI output (down-converting the image for SD-SDI output) are equipped.

This would be good for monitoring or running a backup deck. Also, I saw this on the B&H website, slightly different:

Either HD-SDI or HDMI output can be used to down-convert and output HD images as SD images while they are being recorded or played.

But I can't find any details on how this is accomplished. Other than it seems to use the same output as the HD-SDI. The funny thing about that is that the HD-SDI- BNC connector is not the standard old-fashioned BNC cable. So, is there a special adaptor, or what?

Also, only the B&H listing says it will playback in SD while recording; the brochure is less explicit. Has anyone used this feature?
