Re: A6300 - Has MIC LINE IN!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!

Just noticed the press release saying "Also included on the new camera is a microphone line input that accepts external microphones..."

Finally! And it as Picture Profiles just like the A7 series, this is starting to look like a real pro camera!

Now the big question concerns if there is any overheating.

what's a mic in worth if you cannot monitor the sound?

be well.

A lot, at least for me! For most of those super small gigs I don't even bother monitoring audio. I just plug in Video Mic, leaving auto levels in camera, knowing the pattern of mic and looking on the monitor I know what to expect. If I need proper audio then using XLR microphone etc.

Some specs and desired effects/outcomes require a very small, stealthy footprint like the A6300. So by having a Mic Input, A7-like Picture Profiles, Clean ISO up to 25,600 (so they say in the press release), PDAF and 120fps to name a few all helps to make this a desirable camera for specialized situations.

The sony uwp has head phone out so you could use that with that smad-p3 or the xlr unit to monitor

I'm a little confused. If I wanted monitoring, what are my options?

UWP and SMAD-P3

or

XLR-K2M

Are those the two options?
