RCA Inputs

New kid here. Trying to find out how to make my Radio Shack lapel mic work when plugged into the RCA input/output. Been holding my face in all sorts of contortions trying to make it work but no can do. Any and all thoughts greatly appreciated. BTW, already had the cheap mic and spent the wad on the camera so it'l be a cold day in Guam until I can get a decent device...

You have to use the XLR inputs. Make or buy a cable adapter, the RCAs ar working only in VTR mode as inputs (CH3/4)

Thanks for your prompt response. Do you think there may be enough juice in this micky mouse mic for an xlr or am I going to have to sell another kid for a decent sound?
