The RCA inputs, right behind the XLR inputs; I can't seem to get them to work. Do you have to switch something internally?

I'm running RCA out from a small mixer into the RCA in/outs.

Yeah, there is a signal coming out of the board. Yeah, I've got my audio switches switch to the right input on the outside of the camera.
 
RCA inputs are only for use in VCR mode, not camera mode. In VCR mode, you must be sending a video signal (to either the yellow RCA or to the s-video input) and even then, I don't think it'll record to P2, you have to have it in tape mode (although I could be wrong about that).
