RCA Input problem

Hi, I'm trying to dub and old VHS video from a VCR to the P2 on my HVX. I plugged RCA cables from VCR output to the camera but never see an image in camera, VCR, or PC mode. Hitting record doesn't do anything. The manual doesn't seem cover this. How do I do this?
 
You can only do it through firewire. You need an A/D converter or a camcorder which CAN accept RCA signals and then channel them through firewire
