Raylight 1080 24p??

I have been reading up on Raylight. It seems it can support 1080 24p files.
Could I shoot 1080 24pn on HVX200 and use Raylight to convert it to
a file that I could use in an After Effects 1080 24p project??

You should use 2:3:3:2 pulldown and have Raylight remove it. The resulting AVI can then
be brought into AE at 23.976 fps.

I can never figure out what people are saying in regards to
2:3:3:2 pulldown or 3:2 whatever.
In plain english what would be the proper steps??
I am interested in trying this since FCP does not like 1080 24p yet.

What setting should I shoot the 1080 in???
And then tell Raylight to remove the pulldown??
Why can't you just shoot 1080 24pn???
Thanks

Yes, it works fine. But as mvb (who's Marcus, the author of the program and the ultimate authority on rayligh) points out, always use 2:3:3:2 (24PA) pulldown. Raylight doesn't remove 2:3 (24P) pulldown, but it can remove 24PA pulldown.

1080i/24PA.

Yes, just answer "y" when it asks if you want to remove the pulldown.

There is no such thing as 1080/24pN. The codec doesn't support it, the camera doesn't support it, so don't spend any more time worrying about it; just shoot 1080/24PA and RayLight can automatically turn it into what would otherwise be the same as if there was such a thing as 1080/24pN.
